SUNEERA MADHANI
CEO/Founder of Fattmerchant
Suneera Madhani comes from a family of entrepreneurs, but never saw
herself as a business owner – let alone as the person who would disrupt the
world of finance.

After graduating from UF with a degree in finance in the market crash of 2009,
she worked as a sales agent for a payment processor, learning the ins and
outs of the credit card industry. Soon, a pattern emerged. Business owners
were frustrated trying to navigate an industry full of gimmicks, hidden fees,
and no transparency. Something had to change.

Suneera had a simple but radical idea: why couldn’t a flat subscription model
be applied to payments? After hearing over a dozen Nos when she pitched
her idea, Suneera decided to take control over her own future. She founded
Fattmerchant and just 5 years later, has processed over $5 billion in payments
for business owners while offering the leading technology in its industry.
Fattmerchant was coined as “the netflix of credit card processing” and is an
industry giant winning awards for its model and tech platform.

She created and instilled a strong culture with distinct core values embodied
by each employee. As a result, Fattmerchant was awarded multiple awards,
most notably Entrepreneur Magazine’s 2018 Top Company Cultures and 2019
Best Entrepreneurial Companies in America lists.

“Success isn’t something that happens overnight. If you ever stop to get
comfortable, the spirit of entrepreneurship will fail and you’ll fail to succeed.
There’s no such thing as a billion dollar idea – only billion dollar execution.”
